Welcome to
Sunsetter English Setters

English Setters are not just pretty show dogs… English Setters are one of the most gentle dogs on earth, they make amazing family pets and Sunsetter English Setters are fabulous in the field too!

Over the years our dogs have not only been ranked among the top English Setters in the show ring in both Canada and USA – but they have also achieved countless titles in other competitive events such as Rally, Obedience and Hunt Tests!

PUPPIES!

At Sunsetter, we raise our puppies in our home, with extensive socialization and innovative training practices. Our puppies go to their “fur-ever” homes very often house trained at just eight weeks old!

We do extensive health testing on all of our dogs to ensure we are breeding the most healthy dogs, including BAER hearing testing, thyroid testing, OFA hip and elbow clearances and more.

Your puppy purchasing experience with Sunsetter will be much different than anything you have ever experienced, we keep our puppy people involved extensively right through the entire process, including weekly video updates and FaceTime/Skype calls right from the whelping box!

8 weeks already!

Where does the time go... in just a few days the puppy pen will start to look empty. But before that happens, Celeste and Shawn are off to Saskatoon to get the herd BAER tested. We had a very nice visit with Al & Kim Paterson who will be taking Snoopy - his name...

Renee & Nick pups – 7 weeks

It's been a week of lots of visitors, in person and virtually through FaceTime and Skype. The puppies are busy growing, eating approximately 18 cups of food combined per day! The weather warmed up enough for another adventure outside and the pellet training proved to...

6 week stacks – getting better

Second time on the table and we thought we would share. Some of the herd are getting the process, others - not so much LOL. So we have resorted to treats - while their head position is not ideal it at least gives a better picture on the rest of their body. Practice,...

6 week update

It's been another busy week with the herd. One thing is for certain, they know how to use their teeth! We had our first experience with this crew on the table learning how to stack, excuse a few of the pictures - some of them were not very happy about this process. We...

Five Week movie

Sorry for the delay in posting updates... Nadeen and Shawn were off last weekend to the CPHA Top Dog Awards Dinner in Vancouver over the Thanksgiving weekend. The crew is growing and personalities are really starting to come through. Here are a few words on each...
