Dogs and dog shows are a family affair for our family. Everybody plays a vital role in our dogs lives, and without one team member, things would not be the same! So here you have it, the Bennetts…

Shawn

Well, if you ask me, I do everything… but really, I’m the lead “sanitary engineer” and trainer. Dogs have been my life for as long as I can remember, and I truly believe that growing up being involved with dogs and dog shows provided me many of the tools required to build my successful graphic design & printing business.

Nadeen

Nadeen has quickly taken over the role of “grooming expert”. Thanks to people like Lise Trottier, Gloria Owens, and probably one of the best – Yvonne Norton – Nadeen is the artist behind the wonderful presentation of our dogs. Grooming is not just the week before the show, it is a huge job to keep English setters in show condition, and Nadeen does a wonderful job. It probably helps that I keep her wine glass full whenever I hear that she is going to do some grooming!

Siobhan

Our oldest daughter. Siobhan is often overlooked, many people don’t see the role she plays in our dogs lives. She is EVERYBODY’s assistant – whether at home or at the shows, she always willing to help anybody that asks.

Celeste

From the day she was born, Celeste loved dogs. If she had it her way, she would be at a dog show every day of her life. Celeste started handling dogs when she was 11 years old and very quickly became a wonderful handler. She is often asked to show dogs other than ours and has shown many breeds including Labradors, Golden Retrievers, American Cocker Spaniels, French Bulldogs and many others. In 2009, Celeste won her class in Junior Handling SEVEN STRAIGHT TIMES!

Celeste won the 2009 Manitoba Provincial Junior Handling Championship! Her name is on the Provincial trophy along with Shawn’s, the first father/daughter to accomplish this. She was also runner up two additional times.

Chandler

Nobody loves dogs more than Chandler. The best part of his day, is getting off the school bus and getting greeted at the door by the dogs! Chandler likes dog shows, and likes showing dogs – but hey, he’s only 11… so, get in the ring, do my thing, get my ribbon – OK, let’s go home!
