Charlie finished his Canadian Championship as a puppy with multiple BOB over specials, multiple Puppy Group 1sts, and group placements from the puppy classes. He was the English Setter Club of Canada’s Best Puppy of the Year in 2007. Charlie has been shown as a special on a limited basis, and has consistently won the breed and placed in the group.
Charlie has the true English setter temperament that makes this breed so special. Not to many “in tact” males would let puppies crawl all over them, or little kids tug on their tail and ears – but Charlie is happy getting any and all the attention he can get! Charlie is a true “gentle-man” in every way.
Charlie has been shown sparingly in the USA…
- Minnesota ES Club”s specialty weekend – August 2008, Charlie was RWD 2 out of 4 shows, and won the very competitive Open Dog class 3 out of 4 shows
- Fargo KC shows in June 2008, Charlie goes WD all three days, putting him well on his way to his American Championship
- 2009 English Setter Association of America National Specialty – Charlie wins the American Bred Dog class both at the National and the host specialty
